Employment Readiness Academy

The program was launched at Lutheran Hospital in November 2015; since then it has grown and now features sites at locations throughout northeast Indiana. Partner sites have included SIRVA, Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Holiday Inn, Ivy Tech Community College, Lutheran Hospital, Silver Birch, St. Joseph Hospital, Parkview Hospitals and the YMCA.

Small groups (up to four individuals) are chosen for an intensive hands-on training experience to prepare them for the workforce. Participants would be fully immersed in the organization’s facilities while spending time learning general personal skills for workplace success as well as transferable job skills through hands-on skills development and on-the-job training.

Participants who complete the academy gain skills and experience that help them find employment success in the community.

Anyone receiving services from Easterseals can apply for the Employment Readiness Academy.
