Easterseals Arc has been awarded a $7,500 grant from the M.E. Raker Foundation to enhance community integration for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The funding will help Easterseals Arc continue to offer a wide range of opportunities for employment and enrichment. The activities and programs include:
- Employment services ranging from skills assessments to hands-on training in learning labs
- The Employment Readiness Academy, which offers 18-week internships at community sites
- Pre-Employment Transition Services for students with disabilities at area schools
- Community-based volunteer activities
- Community-based educational opportunities
- Community-based recreational opportunities
- Community outings for individuals attending Easterseals Arc’s day programs
- On-site and community-based art, music and social enrichment activities
- Summer camps for children and teens
