Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana has been awarded a $1,500 grant from the Benevolence Committee of Plymouth Congregational Church to support respite services.
Respite services provide a break for caregivers of individuals with disabilities, and Easterseals Arc is the only provider in Allen County with a house dedicated to respite services. The grant from Plymouth Congregational Church provides funds for an electric home care hospital bed and linens, a bedside table, assorted games and sensory items.
The respite house serves individuals with a wide range of ages, abilities and needs, providing temporary care in a home-like atmosphere supported by trained, certified staff.
