Our highlight this week is the Passages Summer Program. The Summer Program began due to a need for students with disabilities to have a program during their summer break. Since this program began it has grown exponentially. This year’s Summer Program runs from June 11th to August 2nd. The students have now had three fun packed weeks of classroom instruction, field trips, guest speakers, and group activities. Some of the field trips have consisted of the Botanical Gardens in Fort Wayne, a boat ride on the Dixie, and a trip to the Fire Station. They have also participated in many activities like painting rocks to hide around the community and painting bricks with September McConnell from the Community Foundation. We look forward to sharing more as the summer goes on!
