Lincoln Financial Foundation Awards $30,000 to Easterseals Northeast Indiana for Employment Programs | Easterseals Northeast Indiana

Fort Wayne, Ind. — Lincoln Financial Foundation has awarded a $30,000 grant to Easterseals Northeast Indiana to help enhance employability for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Easterseals Northeast Indiana will provide assessment, training, internships, education, placement and support to individuals throughout northeast Indiana. Participants will be placed in meaningful jobs and training opportunities that match their skills and interests.

The grant funds will be used for scholarships and stipends for participants in Easterseals training programs and hands-on work experiences.

Easterseals offers a wide range of employment services for participating adults, including Employment Readiness Academies, learning labs focused on high-demand industries, and job exploration through virtual reality.

Easterseals also serves student participants at several area schools through Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS). Pre-ETS includes job exploration, work-based learning, workplace readiness, self-advocacy, and education counseling.

Easterseals is an approved provider for Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Social Security’s Ticket to Work program.
