Fort Wayne, Ind. — Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana has been awarded a $4,000 grant from the Indiana Arts Commission to support a variety of art activities for people with disabilities.

Artist Amanda Brundige will lead activities that include hands-on exploration of various media. The program will promote community integration and independence.

The grant funding will be used to purchase art supplies for participants at Easterseals Arc in Fort Wayne, Easterseals Passages in Columbia City and Easterseals RISE in Angola.

Community partners such as Brew Ha Coffee Shop in Columbia City, Relic Emporium in Angola and Disabilities Expo will help create opportunities for artwork to be exhibited and sold.

Easterseals Arc’s art activities are made possible in part by Arts United and the Indiana Arts Commission, which receives support from the State of Indiana and the National Endowment for the Arts.
